Yet another Grand Canyon inspired piece, and my first real attempt at painting a mule. A bit of a challenge, but I'm happy with the results. It's funny, though...my favorite part of this painting is the ground where all of the colors of the paste paper worked its magic (and where I didn't happen to do any painting at all, short of the paste paper itself). I'm glad I was able to stop myself from working over this section. It's that delicate balance between the fun of painting on this surface, and knowing when to quit.
