Maine Maple
Mixed Media on Arches Cover Paper
14" x 14"
SOLD

Come this time of year, our neighbors, Jim and Jane, tap their maple trees and boil down the sap in their sugar shack. Over the years, we've spent many an afternoon there sipping maple sugar tea over good conversation and, on occassion, a bit of live music. This painting is from a photo I took there a few years back.
Great neighbors...great times...great memories!

Very nice Kathy. Great handling of this tough subject and angle. Love the colors and composition.

I love this--so Maine! I keep honey in those canning jars--that's what I thought of when I saw this.

You are so lucky, I can just smell it! It is one of the most wonderful smells, and a privileged part of living in NE, (even if I hate the weather right now) Nice painting!
