This is perhaps your finest painting posted so far. Nice free brush stokes, so painterly, and different from your children's' book illustrations. Great greens above oranges below and a central blues, lovely color. Congratulations.
It reminds me of another Maine artist's painting. Your stones lead the eye to the left, and the other Maine artist's stone lead the eye to the right. You can see the painting I'm referring to here: http://www.brendaferguson.com/PaintingWoodsPath.html
